Sunshine Corazon A new character will be introduced named Sunshine Corazon, a Filipino exchange student played by songstress Charice. “She’s very neat, calm, nerdy and shy. She’s going to be frenemies with Rachel Berry [Lea Michele]” explains Charice at the Glee Season 2 Premiere Party on Sept. 7. The episode kicks off with New Directions singing Jay-Z and Alicia Key's "Empire State of Mind" to entice new members to join the Glee club. Rachel spots Sunshine in the crowd and smiles at her. After assuming that Sunshine does not speak English, Rachel tries to entice her to join New Directions. When Rachel overhears Sunshine singing "Telephone" by Lady Gaga in the school bathroom, she joins her in the duet until Sue Sylvester yells, "Shut up!" Although Sunshine will not be besties with Rachel Berry, she will befriend Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz). Chord Overstreet Sings! Another newcomer, Chord Overstreet—who is rumored to play Kurt's boyfriend— will sing Travie McCoy's "Billionaire." Additional Songs The episode ends with Lea Michele singing a "What I Did For Love” from A Chorus Line. Other songs you can expect from this episode: Poison's "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," "Getting to Know You" from The King and I and "Listen" from the film version of Dreamgirls.
